Challenges

Amtrak struggled with manually gathering the right data for audits and assessment including PCI-DSS v4.0 deadlines. Additionally, they have multiple SIEMs that slows down and complicates threat hunting and investigations.

"Cybersecurity is increasingly an intelligence challenge, driving the need to connect enterprise-wide data, and build insights to solve security and compliance gaps. Innovation and thought leadership on data fabrics is much needed in the security industry to help companies unlock security data and build next level solutions to protect against cyber threats."

Jesse Whaley, Amtrak

Outcomes with DataBee

With DataBee, Amtrak has a more automated, scalable, and repeatable approach to accessing controls insights year-round and prepare for audits such as PCI-DSS v4.0. Amtrak was able to reduce third party consulting and SI work to the tune of $500K needed to otherwise perform annual security controls audits, and save significant time on finding asset owners and improving the CMDB.  The security data fabric platform integrates and enriches business context with security logs to deliver higher quality, curated data downstream, allowing Amtrak to improve asset posture, streamline and improve threat hunting activities and automate dashboards for security controls.

Featured Partner: AWS

DataBee's architecture is intricately designed using various AWS resources to provide Amtrak with a scalable, secure, and performant Security Data Fabric. By leveraging AWS regions, DataBee enables Amtrak to comply with various data residency requirements while ensuring a smooth, low-latency experience.
